Fair Community Housing Services (FCHS)
Since the Nineties, central and local government have invited local people to take a more active role in managing their communities by creating Tenant Management Organisations (TMO) with delegated management and maintenance responsibilities.
TMOs provide a more effectual service in terms of their own aims and objectives. In most cases it is acknowledged that TMOs provide a better service to their residents than their host local authorities, statistics show that they compare favourably with the top quarter of local authorities in England in terms of repairs, property re-let turn-around times, rent collection and resident satisfaction.
It is this failure on the part of local authorities in the delivery of a consistent and adequate level of service that has lead to the establishment of many TMOs.
FCHS is a Tenant Management Organisation providing a range of maintenance and management services to tenants and leaseholders in accordance with a negotiated Management Agreement with the Landlord of the properties Southwark Council. |
