THE COMMITTEE |

| The current Committee was elected at the last AGM on 24th October 2011. The Committee meetings take place monthly, usually on the first Tuesday of every month.

Abdulkarim Ali - Chair
Mr Ali has been living on Coxson way for over 6 years. He has been elected to the Committee in 2008 and became chair in December 2009. In his own words: "I strongly believe that the only effective way to make a difference to our community is by getting involved rather than complaining from the sidelines. The Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) model, which our organisation is, gives all residents the framework and platform to get involved in the managing of their estates. The committee and I have the responsibility of shaping our organisation by setting its policies, objectives and vision. We use the mandate that the residents have given us to champion their needs and desire to improve our estate by giving direction to our staff (FCHS staff) to achieve these goals." |

Alexander Pushnitski - Vice Chair
Alexander has been living in Devon Mansions since 2006. He is a leaseholder. Alexander works as a university lecturer in mathematics. He is currently vice chair and also the person in charge of the website. Alexander has been elected to the Committee at the AGM in April 2009. |

Tracy Stedman - Southwark Council monitoring and support officer
Tracy Stedman works for Southwark Council and her responsibility is advising and monitoring FCHS. Although she is not an elected committee member, she takes part in the committee meetings (but does not vote). |

Leslie Smith - Committee Member
Leslie re-joined the committee in October 2010. He has previously been a committee member for a long time. |

Janine Stacy - Co-opted Committee Member
Janine has been living in Devon Mansions with her family for the last 16 years. She has recently moved to the heart of Bermondsey, Lucey Way. Janine enjoyed being involved with FCHS so she was co-opted back on the committee. In her own words: "I work as a TA at Alfred Salter Primary school, where I work with dyslexic and Special needs children. I find my job very rewarding and lots of fun, I have been in this job since 2002. I am involved with the Youth Committee with my daughter Bailey, our duties have been producing the newsletters and distribution. This has been challenging and fun at the same time, I have learnt something new every time we have worked together. We also organised the Southend Trip alongside George our neighbourhood worker who has had a lot of input and ideas towards the work of the up and coming youth committee." |
